For an international insurance company we are looking for for a (Junior) Claims Handler Specialty/Engineering to join its Claims team.
In this role, you will manage claims files from A to Z across specialised insurance lines, including Engineering Insurance, CAR, Machinery Breakdown, Ten-Year Liability and Professional Liability for architects and engineering firms.
You will analyse claims, coordinate experts and, where necessary, lawyers, while maintaining close contact with insureds, brokers and internal stakeholders.
You will proactively manage outstanding claims, monitor reserves and assess potential recovery actions. You will also contribute to claims statistics and provide input to underwriting teams on policy interpretation and improvements.
Your profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in an engineering, construction or other technical field.
First experience in insurance is an asset, combined with a strong interest in construction techniques and technical insurance.
Analytical, accurate and well organised, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and client-oriented skills.
Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
Curious, resilient and comfortable with IT tools.
